Question: Loosing weight... Is it ok?

Hi! i'm 16, I'm 5ft 7inch tall, i'm 10stone 12 and medium built, i'm a size 12/14 atm and would like to be a size 10 or maybe 8 so i can feel a tad more comfortable in myself

Would i loose weight if i go for 2 brisk walks throughout the day for 15 minutes each, do cardio, dance and run whenever i can. I also lift (now) 4 pound weights each day and do around 100 reps every 2 hours or when i can
My diet is starting at the moment, is this ok

Breakfast:
Poridge in the morning with raisons instead of sugar to sweaten it.

Lunch:
Low cal soup with 2 pieces of bread

Dinner
A ham sandwich

and then maybe an apple later

i also drink 8 glasses of water and 3 cups of green tea a day.

I was wondering if i will loose weight and in roughly how long will it take to start seeing results of weight loss

Answer: Not a bad plan but i have a few suggestions:

1. try to eat a small snack (fruit, cheese, yogurt) in between breakfast and lunch and between lunch and dinner. If you eat a little something every 3 hours or so your metabolism will be going all day and you'll burn more fat. Add in some more veggies too.

2. not sure exactly what you mean by lifting every 2 hours but you should only exercise a certain body part once in a day and then rest that body part at least 1 or 2 days. Even if you're doing light weights your muscles need time to recover.

3. the two brisk walks are good, but they're not going to burn A LOT of fat by themselves. Keep doing them for sure, but try to find time to do cardio for 30 minutes, 3 times per week.

With all that you should feel a change in a few days (better energy etc) and start to see changes in a couple of weeks. It will take at least 4 weeks before other people start to really notice, but by then you'll have noticed significant changes.
