Green Tea Pills For Weight Loss

Question: Does Green Tea or Green Tea Pills really work for weight loss?
Im currently using both.
And it seems to be working, but does it ACTUALLY work?
And in what areas of your body does it work best?
Answer: No, not to the extent that is claimed in marketing literature, which is primarily used to sell more tea rather than helping consumers lose weight. That said, tea does contain a small amount of caffeine (approximately one third the amount the same cup of coffee does), which can stimulate the body, therefore providing some impetus to be more active, which may lead to increased weight loss. As of yet, however, there is no definitive evidence that merely the consumption of tea will aid in weight loss. Tea itself does not contain any kind of magical compound that will enable a person to lose weight faster than if a person does not drink tea. Replacing other sugary drinks with non-sweetened tea, however, is a great way to reduce calorie intake throughout the day, and often a cup of tea may help the body feel full if drunk as a 'snack' instead of munching on something (a glass of water would even suffice, however why not make it tea as is has flavor as well as other health bebefits).
Tea does, however, contain a number of flavonoids, which are anti-oxidants, which some studies have shown may aid in cancer prevention. While growing evidence indicates this may be true, again, more studies are warranted before the FDA would allow any definitive claims on products. Tea is full of micronutrients, and other compounds that are quite healthful, and I recommend visiting a website called The Tea FAQ for more information about the health benefits of tea.
