Green Tea Diet Hawaii

Question: Can i lose about 40 lb in 8 weeks?
alright i have been on a work out schedule for 3 weeks and ive only seen minor results i have an elliptical at home and a bioforce i run for 20 - 25 mins every day and burn 300- 400 cals running and before that i do 60 ab crunches on the bioforce with 90 lb attached and then another 60 arm curls at 50 lb total (25 each arm) then i do another 60 reps of sitting up bench presses at 50 lb so overall i think i do about 500-600 cals a day. and ive been staying away from cokes and stuff all i drink now is Diet Green Tea and water. i havent had a hamburger in over 5 weeks but im going to hawaii and i need to lose a bunch oh and im 6'5'' and about 340lb but im heavy set. do i need to change anything?
oh and i do this very late at night like 10pm - 2am i once did it about 4am though
btw my scale at home is broken lol so i cant tell my weight per week i only knew my current weight because i went to the doctors 2 weeks ago for a sprained ankle
Answer: Very unlikely that you can lose 40lbs but you can lose a lot in 8 weeks. The most you can lose in 8 weeks will be on average about 24 lbs (ie. 14 lbs/1 stone) per 4 weeks. To do this you need to be doing what you are doing which is a very low calorie diet and alot of exercise. BUT BE WARNED You can't keep eating those few calories in the longer term or you will suffer serious health problems. If you are persisting in a very low calorie diet (ie. under 800 calories) make sure you are getting the necessary vitamins/minerals so either take supplements or look at something like a slimfast shake which is about 200 calories with 1/3 of the nutrients you need. Good luck. If you keep that regime up for 8 weeks, you will keep losing. But if you keep going for longer you may suffer serious problems as you will lose muscle mass as well as fat - this produces the risk of a heart attack as your heart muscles weakens. A number of models with anorexia have died like this. Make sure you are sensible about this.
