Green Tea Black Tea Caffeine

Question: Is this tea a good regimen for weight loss?

everyday I drink about 10-12 cups of 12oz tea. I make my black tea with 3 tea bags soaked for 4 minutes, then about about 1/4 a cup of soy or rice or almond milk and then 2 splenda. my green tea I drink plain but I LOVE black tea right now. My question is, is this ok for weight loss? is the amount of caffeine in 30 tea bags bad for me? is the splenda going to make me gain weight? overall Id like to know if im hindering my weight loss or poising my body majorly in any way doing this. This is NOT a fad diet, this is just what I drink. I also have lowered my food intake to help lower my calories but Im wondering now that Im trying to loose weight if I should change my tea habits too and how? thanks
if i switch to decaf tea then will I be ok? to be clear Im not drinking this much tea to loose weight, ive been drinking tea in these amounts for a while now.

Answer: You are drinking about the equivalent to 6 red bulls each day in caffeine. Do you think that is good for you? Caffeine can help in suppressing your appetite and can delay fatigue and give you more energy during exercise, but you are having way too much. You should drop it down to 2-3 cups of tea each day. Caffeine isn't all that great in excess. And you way passed excessive. I'm not sure about splenda, but again, anything in excess isn't good. Just have plain tea.
Consider following the food pyramid and getting 30 minutes of exercise each day. The government spends millions, nay, billions of dollars on health and nutrition advice for us, but does anyone follow it? It doesn't seem like it, 1/3 Americans are obese, and another third are on retarded diets.
