Pubmed is the go-to place for virtually all biomedical research done in the US, and actually most of the world, regardless of language or publication. From just a quick scan, it looks like green tea does a little bit for weight loss, however, it's an incredibly tiny amount, mostly due to caffeine content. It does however, have positive effects on lipid markers with the exception of HDL.
