Which Antioxidant Source is Best Acai or
Green Tea?
Between green tea and acai berry, which is
the best source of antioxidant? This is one of the most common
questions when people decide whether to go on green tea diet or
acai berry diet. The amount of antioxidants is measured in ORAC
or the Oxygen radical absorbance capacity. The higher the ORAC
value the better the antioxidant. So, the question becomes
which as the higher ORAC value (aka ORAC rating or ORAC score)
acai berry or green tea?

As you can see from the chart, although
green tea is healthy tea compared to other types of tea, the
antioxidant level in green tea pales in comparison to other
berries that are packed full of antioxidants. The acai
berry is named superfood by Dr. Perricone in his best
selling book, the Perricone Promise. Acai berry, however, come
in a variety of format and the spray dried powder acai does not
contain nearly as much as the freeze dried acai.
